http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/africa/110222/congo-rape-war-crime-un "In August 2010, rebel forces were accused of raping hundreds of women, girls, men and boys around the town of Luvungi."
Couple this conviction with the impending doom of the Quadaffi regime in Libya, the announcement of the President of Sudan that he will not run again, the secession of Southern Sudan, the unease in Algeria's government that has led to the easing of martial law--is civilization and the rule of law finally coming to Africa?
Not to Somalia, at least anytime soon. But any progress is good. And if Ghadaffi wants to die a martyr, I'm all in favor of it. The sooner the better.
