Senate votes to block lower costs for health care
Seen on TV (CBS) news this morning, the US Senate voted 51 to 49 to continue the current law that makes it illegal for Americans to avoid their GOVERNMENT protected pharmaceutical monopoly pricing. The Senate killed a proposal to repeal the prohibition on purchase of medical drugs from other nations such as Canada.
Clearly demonstrated in this vote is a continuing Democratic support for the big corporation monopoly profits that have caused medical costs to soar out of reach for the average person. The Democratic solution is to tax all Americans to pay the bloated corporations whatever the hell they want to charge. The very concept of allowing freedom and competition to lower costs is voted down 51 (Democrats) to 49 (Republicans)

Another victory for the good people who inhabit and control our societies.
We, the bad people, cannot have what we wish to have (good, sweet, young wives), nor are we permitted to speak against the culture that the good people have created.
I understand why, for thousands of years, the rulers of the days slaughtered the good people whenever they made a noise.
Since the bad people let up, now the good people rule and women's rights reigns.

Here in Victoria, Australia the pigs shoot people all the time. They've got permission from the Premier as long as the person has at some time in the past been diagnosed with a mental illness. News reports are made into advertisements urging viewers to go to their doctors to enquire about a diagnosis for themselves or any family members they might want to have put on the pigs hit list.
I don't do the big New Year's thing so I was watching some cop show on TV last night. The story centered on the murder of a man who'd been convicted of raping some girls between the ages of 7-9. What got me about it was that although the cops had plenty of suspects nobody ever questioned whether or not it was justified to kill the guy. They had fathers of the girls, cops who arrested him, former cellmates etc. who all had reason to kill the guy because he was a pedo. Nobody ever questioned whether or not it was justified to hate the guy and kill him. What do you think about that?
Any society that doesn't protect its offspring from predators quickly dies out. The urge to kill pedophiles is normal since they are predators by definition.
Off topic here but was wondering if Bob had any commentary to offer up on the recent Charlie Sheen case?

For about a thousand years, all of the middle ages in Europe, the Roman Catholic canon law set the minimum age of marriage for young women at age 7. Protecting children is not the same as attacking men for mating with young women.
Predatory pedophiles make convenient boogeymen for television and movies. Any parent fears their child falling into the hands of an abuser. But the fact is that most people who are sexually attracted to children do not act on their desires, either out of fear of punishment or realisation that doing so will cause harm to the child. Most so-called pedophiles sublimate their attraction in community service with minors or otherwise control themselves. The percentage who actively prey on children is small. Entertainment media focusses on them because these individuals, like any sexual offender, are unsympathetic and easy to offer up for audience repulsion. However, discussion of pedophilia should include the fact that most pedophiles lead normal lives, not predatory ones.
I doubt the Catholic church allowed 7 yr old children to "marry". Still got their baby teeth, no mature body, unable to bear children till puberty.
Any society that doesn't allow young women to have children for their husbands dies.
Don't believe me? Subtract the Catholic Mexican immigrants from the US population and subtract the Muslim immigrants from the European population. What you get is decline and death: a well deserved decline and death.
